Designed by Per Øie in 1984, the Move is an ergonomic office chair in the Varier collection that allows for an exceptionally wide range of movement. With its convex wooden base, a rounded seat, and a height-adjustable gas lift, this ergonomic office chair prompts you to actively find and keep your balance while still providing you with the support you need to remain comfortable.

The Varier Move is the perfect companion for a height-adjustable desk or when engaging in activities where freedom of movement is essential. Some call it the Varier Move stool or Varier Move saddle stool, but whatever name you use, you’ll quickly call it one of your favorite pieces of furniture!

The Health Benefits of Active Sitting

Doctors and researchers know that too much sitting is bad for your health. It can decrease blood flow, slow your metabolism, cause or worsen pain, and increase your risk of an array of chronic health problems, including heart disease, diabetes, and some cancers.
