Great chair, love it and it’s really helped my back and posture

This chair is a lifesaver! I had twins 3 years ago and ever since, I’ve struggled with lower back pain. I have a sedentary job so there are a lot of hours I sit in my office. The chair I had was complete murder on my back which only exacerbated the pain. I tried different cushions and lumbar pillows, but nothing helped. I found I was bracing myself for pain every time I had to stand up and walk somewhere and would have to take a few steps to get the stiffness out just so I could stand up straight. I’m only 36, but I felt like an octogenarian. Yesterday, for the first time in 3 years, I braced for pain and there was none. I want to cry because I’m so happy! This chair does exactly what it says it will. It aligns my spine so I sit up straight. No more hunched shoulders or rounded back and the best part is, it’s effortless. I don’t even know I’m doing it!

Now for the nitty gritty about the chair itself: I see there is a version of this exact chair without a back for a bit less, but if this is a chair you’re going to be using a ton, get this one with the back. It’s a stabilizing feature and makes balancing a little easier. The cushions are VERY high quality and comfortable (even though they’re thinner than imitation versions). One caveat: there’s an adjustment period for your shins. Since you’re taking pressure off your tailbone and adding it to your legs, there is a bit of discomfort after long stretches of sitting, but I find when they start to give me grief, it’s time for me to take a break and get up for a bit. You can also sit in it with your feet on the floor on either side of the kneeling pads or with the chair turned around (if you don’t mind the back in your chest) to give your shins a break while still sitting. Putting it together was a breeze for 95% of it. Getting the seat cushion on took a bit of extra willpower, but if you can follow basic directions, it’s not bad at all.

Overall, if you have back pain and need a chair that’s going to help take tension off your spine and put you in the correct posture position with no effort on your part, this is it. It’s more than other versions, but you get what you pay for and this chair is SOLID and comfortable.

I have had my eye on this chair for a while and I am very happy with the purchase. I will say that the fabric definitely leaves a little to be desired, it is not very soft and it collects lint that it was made specifically for that purpose. Otherwise. I like the flexibility of being able to comfortably sit in different positions while working and being able to fidget rock when needed. I also have a standing desk situation, so I find the cushioning adequate but you might want an additional cushion if you are a hard core sitter.

It’s comfortable, It wasn’t too hard to put together. I sit with my leg crossed under me so often and this is really saved my knees and my hips. I love this chair

This chair is great. It encourages continuous movement, even if it’s just rocking. Because you have to use your core muscles to stabilize your posture, it helps strengthen them. In the beginning expect some sore/tired back muscles. The padding is great. I don’t feel pressure on my knees.

Something different than the usual. More versatile than a typical desk chair and better for your posture.

i bought this one first because it was on sale for $479 and just wanted to try it. been having nagging sciatica pain for the better part of the past year because of sitting so much during working from home (the crux of the issue is a crushed disc). it felt so natural to sit in the kneeling position and it instantly felt like a better orientation for my hips and lower back.

intrigued, i dropped some more coin on the more adjustable Thatsit model. no matter how much i tinkered with the shin pad and backrest adjustments on that thing, i could not achieve the level of comfort i experience when sitting in the Variable Plus. this is surprising considering the Variable plus is $320 cheaper ($200 without being on sale) and has no adjustability whatsoever. for reference, i am 5’9”, 175 lbs.
