FULL BODY AIR MASSAGE
More than 30 soothing air cells apply compression massage to the shoulders, hips, thighs, buttocks, calves, feet, forearms, and hands. The Panasonic MA73’s extensive air cell array is carefully positioned for maximum benefit and insightfully programmed for maximum relaxation effect. Compression and release are sequenced to faithfully replicate the motions of a real massage therapist.
INFRARED HEATED ROLLERS
Infrared heated massage rollers generate soothing warmth to help relax sore, tense muscles. With heating elements located directly on the massage roller assembly, the MA73 delivers point-specific heat you would expect to feel from the thumbs and palms of a massage therapist’s hands.
POSITION AND FORCE MICROPROCESSOR
The Real Pro Ultra mechanism constantly feeds information back to the chair’s Position and Force Microprocessor, adjusting its movements based on this feedback. INTENSITY SENSING AND ADJUSTMENTS
All of the massage features of the Panasonic MA73 can be adjusted from very gentle to very firm. Air cell compression intensity and roller massage intensity are each independently adjustable. You can even program and save your favorite settings for up to three users.

Junetsu Ultra Kneading massage techniques involve tight, spiral movements that quickly and effectively loosen tight muscles. SHIATSU
Based on traditional Chinese medicine, this Japanese style of massage literally translates to “finger pressure.” As the name suggests, Shiatsu massage addresses specific points on the body, often referred to as Shiatsu points, pressure points, or acupressure points. The Panasonic MA73’s body scan, in concert with pressure sensing massage heads, directs force accurately and firmly on Shiatsu points.
SWEDISH
The Swedish massage style helps to provide overall relaxation and improve circulation while enhancing physical health and mental well-being. KNEADING

I purchased my first Panasonic massage chair 20 years ago. I needed to do a few minor repairs over the years (on my own), but it held up. The original chair was very comfortable to sit in and provided a reasonable massage. Since the first was very comfortable and lasted 20 years, I decided to purchase this one sight unseen. There were no stores anywhere near me to check it out. This chair far exceeds the original in terms of the massage functions. I am very comfortable with the massage features and find that a massage before bed helps me sleep better. The one drawback with this chair is that it is not ergonomically designed for sitting. It is reasonably comfortable when doing the massage, but I found the original chair to be far more comfortable to sit in. I sit in the chair 90% of the time and do the massage 10% of the time. If I had the chance to try it out before purchasing, I may not have gotten it because it is not ergonomically designed, but I certainly need to make it work since I have it now. I am testing different cushions and pillows to try to find comfortable positions for sitting and watching television, I expect I will be able to use the chair reasonably over time. I don’t know how I would feel if I had a chance to compare this chair to the hundred competitor chairs that are advertised at half the price if I had the opportunity to try them side by side. The one feature I liked with this one is hiding the foot massage area so it has a regular foot rest, I did not see others with the ability to do this. My hope is that the investment pays off, that this chair will function for at least half as long as the first Panasonic.

This was a replacement for a 20 year old Panasonic massage chair. The new model is infinitely better. Would highly recommend it to anyone interested in a high end massage recliner.
